Broiler chickens, also referred to as fryers, are raised for commercial meat production and they gain maturity within a very short period of time. They are genetically improved and have great meat production efficiency. The needed equipment for raising broiler chickens are minimal requiring only adequate housing, food, water, equipment and heat lamps for chicks. Raising broilers requires daily care of feeding, watering and maintaining a sanitary housing area.
